July's Blessing Moon Ritual

This is partly a drawing down the moon ritual, and partly an invocation (taking the god/dess into you, rather than beside you). This ritual utilizes the energies that just past, the summer solstice, in goddess energy.

Perform any space clearing or smudging that you enjoy and gets you in the moon. Caste a circle and call the quarters if you are inclined. Take three calming, clearing breaths. Align your goblet so that the full moon is reflected in it, or, if this is impossible, superimpose the image of the moon in the water/wine with your third eye. Let the ritual begin.

Mother Moon I call to thee
Lady Blessing comes to me
When the moon is full and round
Her energy doth pour down!

Raise the goblet above you.

Your child speaks!
I offer myself as a vessel;
Come into me,
Come down from on high!
Speak through my voice and utter
my prayer through your own lips.
I am Goddess!

Drink luxuriously from the goblet, feeling the energy and power of the Blessing Mother enter into you and become one with you.

I am Mother moon, (speak the name of the goddess of your choosing).
Mine is the time; the ripening, the blessing of the corn
The love of the earth, warmth, and my first fruits.

Lay your hands over the late plantings or ripening fruit. Project your energy onto it, clearing away anything that could stunt the growing life.

I bless these children of the soil
So shall they stretch forth their fingers toward me
And nourish this my vessel.
Stretch! Stretch, dear children!

Sit and commune with the essence of Goddess, let her impart onto you the lessons and assurances that you need. Do not demand anything from her, simply be with her and she will give what you need. When you are ready, continue and close the ritual.

Tonight, the night of the full moon, I have come to commune with my child. I cannot stay forever, though, for your life is your own. Call on me when the moon is full, see my face in you and yours. I, your mother, will always, always love you, no matter what you do. Good night, and blessed be.

Close the circle. Say good night to the quarters. Merry meet, and merry part, and merry may you meet again.

Happy Witching!
Hello, I know it's been a while and I rather abandoned the site for a moment. However, I now have proper internet and will be working to update the site when ever I can! tootles

We pause now to watch the Wheel turn, and we gather on this blessed eve so that we might celebrate the season of Samhain.

Approach the Veil and the Watcher

Watcher, we have undertaken this journey so that we may pierce the veil and honor our dyeing God. Beyond this point spirits roam, and we do not know who is friend and who is foe. Watcher at the gate, come with us, be our Guard, shore our eyes, may no thing harm us, our loved ones, or our beloved dead. Watcher, protect us?

· Take the Watcher with you and proceed through the veil and back up to the altar.

· Place the Watcher in his appointed place:
Tonight as the barrier between the two realms grows thin, Spirits walk amongst us. They are family, friends, and foes, pets and wildlife, fishes and crows.
This is our Guardian for tonight’s festivities. If he should fall, we know there are foes about.

· Pick up the pomegranate
Life feeds on Life. Every beginning has an ending, and every ending is a new beginning. In Life is Death, and in Death, Life. There must be a sacrifice. Our God in his infinite wisdom dies tonight so that Goddess may remain fertile and grow young with Life. There must be a sacrifice.

Put the pomegranate down on the pentagram and raise the blade.

God, Die!

Plunge the blade into the pomegranate.

· Anoint yourselves in “Blood”. Open up the pomegranate and place a few seeds on the ancestor altar

It has been done! The veil has been torn asunder! Beloved dead come to us! We honor you.
Partake of your feast. Speak to us; in dreams, by voice, by sight, in divination. Come show us only what this night can.

· Light the three candles under the cauldron, stir with the wood spoon
Boil, boil, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble! Beloved dead come and show what it is the future may sow.

Pull a tarot card from the cauldron and show it to those gathered, this is what your future holds.

· Remove the candles from under the cauldron and place them inside.
Here our beloved dead reside, in Cerridwen’s cauldron, the belly of our Goddess, waiting to be reborn.

Close your eyes, feel the coolness of the resting hours, feel the peace of our beloved dead.

· Enjoy a moment of peace

· Ground the energy raised
Magick has been made this night. These candles will remain out the three nights of Samhain, to guide the beloved dead home. Now we nosh, now we rest, now we wait. Blessed be the Dead.

· Enjoy the Feast of the Dead, telling stories or contemplating other divination.

· Walk back through the Labyrinth, retrieving the chakra tokens and thanking the Guardians as you go.

· Burry the God-seed from the Pomegranate

· Close the circle

Welcome

Welcome to the bayareawitches, we are a small circle of four, myself (peppermintwitch), my best friend (chocolatewitch), my husband (caramellawizard), and my son (mochawizard). Chocolate and I have been practicing for 11 years, 3ish years together, and about 1 year as an official circle.

This is a place to share spells, rituals, questions, comments, and commiserate. My hope is to create a community of wiccans and pagans that care for each other.

Merry Meet, Let the Journey Begin
